General follow up Clinic for discharged patient and other patient referred to Senior Medical Officer.
Gynecology/Obstetric Clinic - This is done by Senior Medical Officers headed by a Consultant
Orthopedic Clinic - Done by Senior Medical Officers and headed by Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon.
Pediatric Clinic - Done by Pediatrician and senior Medical Officers
Diabetic Clinic - Done by Senior Medical Officers trained in Diabetic Management.
Surgical Outpatient Clinic - This clinic is run by our Senior Medical Officer and team headed by
Consultant Surgeon who handles all cases of previous and pending surgeries.
- Physician Clinic - This is done by Senior Medical Officer headed by a Consultant Physician.
MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS – Comprehensive Care Centre – HIV Aids Clinic, Eye (Cataract) Surgery,
- Family Planning (FP)/ Mother and Child Health (MCH) Clinic - Services offered are:-
Antenatal and Post-natal care, Family Planning, General Counseling, PMTCT, Weighing/growth
monitoring, Immunization, Screening for Pap smears (to detect cancer of cervix)
- Renal/Dialysis Clinic— offers counseling and initiate patient who requires dialysis
P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital welcomes donations from all organizations and individuals who have the same vision as we do. You may provide donations in form of finances or medical equipment. We also appreciate professional volunteers who desire to offer their professionalism to the hospital.

We have various supporting departments in our hospital:
a. Information Technology and Communication Department
The ICT Departments' purpose is to deliver the best practice IT systems. The healthcare professionals access to patient information safely, securely and easily, whenever it is needed.
With the support of its’ dedicated, ethical and competent staff, the IT and Communication Departments adopt the comprehensive, integrated information system designed to manage the medical, administrative, financial and legal aspects of the hospital and its service processing to achieve the hospital mission and strategic goals.
b. Medical Records Department
This unit is involved in keeping and organizing medical records (files) of outpatients and inpatients.
This department offers the following services: -
1. Registration of patients
2. Birth and Death registration
3. Issue of Birth notification
4. Records keeping
c. Costing Department
The Department of Costing manages all billings, payments and insurance information for patients (outpatient and inpatient) of P.C.E.A. Tumutumu Hospital.
d. Medical Maintenance and Engineering Department
This unit is responsible for keeping operable condition of hospital facilities and equipment. Also, it makes technical studies, planning, supervision, and execution of various projects of the hospital.
Also, support workshops, including workshops of air-conditioning, electricity, plumbing, steel works, and joinery, facilitate daily operations of performing maintenance to such facilities. Medical engineering department performs maintenance to all medical and office equipment at the hospital, and bringing the hospital to the highest degree of performance taking into consideration safety standards to patients and equipment operators.
e. Cleaning and Laundry Department
This department is involved in all operations and procedures that will keep the hospital clean in the light of rationalization policy and ideal use of hospital resources.
f. Motor Vehicle Department
We offer a sincere and reliable service which has a good reputation for delivering service excellence. Our team of professional drivers serves the hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week by three shifts. We cooperate with all departments within the hospital to ensure that the transport needs of the hospital are fully met, frequently exceeding expectations with our friendly professional service.
g. Security Department
The security at P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital is provided by a security contract company with the security guards. The Security Department provides a 24 hour cover throughout the hospital. Our aim is to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
The Security Department’s main role is supporting and assisting staff during their encounters with violent or disruptive patients, as well as enforcing the hospital regulations in regard to visiting times and the no smoking policy.
Other security roles include the keeping of order in public waiting areas such as Outpatients. The security department also deals with incidents of theft and damage and liase with the Police in the investigation of criminal matters.
h. Catering Department
This department provides catering and food services to inpatients and accompanying individuals as well as hospital staff and students.
The Catering Department caters for patients, Hospital staff and students seven days a week, 365 days a year. The department also caters for Hospital functions.
i. Procurement, Non-medical and Medical Store Department>
This module deals with the inventory of all Hospital Equipments, Materials, Consumables, Medicines, Implants & Asset items in different departments of the hospital along with their purchase and supplier details. Requisitions for different items/equipment are sent to this store from different departments.
The Store module ensures that there is a round the clock availability of a sufficient quantity of drugs and consumable material for the patients in a mode that neither hinders efficient clinical work, nor it becomes a threat to the survival of the Store.
The Medical Stores is composed the main store and the hospital pharmacy store. It is responsible of providing the Hospital with high quality medicines, laboratory reagents, kits and consumables, and surgical devices and disposables. All processes of medical stores are fully computerized and directly linked with procurement department.
